Role of the Guardians

a) Following discussions to establish the Celtic Druid Alliance /i\ Lanon agreed to hold the role of Caretaker Guardian of the Celtic Druid Alliance until formal appointment of our 1st Duty Guardian and two Support Guardians at our 1st Gathering in 2016 in Ireland.

b) At our first Gathering in 2016 /i\ Con was appointed Duty Guardian and with two Support Guardians /i\ Lanon and /i\ Adgnatios they were appointed for 3 years. The Duty Guardian for 2019 to 2022 was agreed as /i\ Adgnatios and the location of our 2nd Gathering was agreed as Portugal.

c) At our 2nd Gathering in Portugal /i\ Con handed the responsibility of the Duty Guardian to /i\ Adgnatios. /i\ Adgnatios then appointed /i\ Karl and /i\ Niamh as Support Guardians until 2022.

d) The Duty Guardian will work in conjunction with two other Guardians in all matters that may affect the Aims of CDA - the Duty Guardian must call for a teleconference with the two Support Guardians to discuss and decide the best option.

e) The Duty Guardian and the two Support Guardians can be contacted by any member that has a topic for discussion or resolution. The Duty Guardian and the two Support Guardians have authority to invite groups to seek membership of CDA.

f) The Duty Guardian and the two Support Guardians must agree a solution for the Duty Guardian to share a decision to CDA members. If only two agree - this is reported to Council of Guardians members without naming the Guardian who believes otherwise. This protects the right of each Guardian to express the Truth as he or she sees fit.

g) The Celtic Druid Alliance will have a website. In all matters of Press Release / Online Announcements etc., it is required that the Duty Guardian and the two Support Guardians must agree the content and that the Duty Guardian is sole spokesperson.

h) If all three Guardians agree that a member is deliberately acting against the Aims of the CDA they may declare so and (1) expel the offender and (2) also place a Geis of non-communication if they believe it to be required to protect our Celtic Druid Alliance.
